Meaningless Milestone Of the Day:

just when i thought i was facing a complete and total lack of meaningful forward progress in my work, in stepped providence. as i refilled the stapler yesterday afternoon it dawned upon me that i had just passed a significant milestone in my career here: i am half way to using up my first full box of 5,000 staples. since i started this job on 9.11.2k3 i have been using up thin, bendable metal at a rate of 22.52 pieces per day. at this rate, i will have used an entire box some time in the middle of March. wahoo!

in addition, it is extremely cold in here this morning. as a result of the complete lack of heat here in the office this morning i am, against my will, bringing back the icy cold hands of death.
