i feel like there's something ironic about a radio station that claims to play "today's best music" and follows this announcement with a (badly done) cover of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. take a song that wasn't good when it was recorded. wait a decade or so until it has reached the dubious status of "classic". have someone cover it. then pass it off not just as "today's music" but "today's best music".

then again, maybe it's just me.
