i have been yammering to anyone who will listen on and off for some time about my newfound fondness for made-up names, or at least old names with made-up spellings. and so i give you Rasual Butler. i can think of at least 3 ways off the top of my head to spell the way his name sounds: Rasul, Rasoul, Rasool, all three of which are reasonable approximations of the Arabic original i think his parents were thinking of when they named him. instead of a son whose name rhymes with "cool", however, they gave their son a name that rhymes with "casual". say it to yourself a couple of times. it's pretty hilarious.
