so, this is what it feels like. i had almost forgotten how it feels to swagger. i am not sure why, exactly, but i walked into the office this morning with the unshakeable feeling that i deserved an award or trophy of some kind. is this due to my accomplishments during the past 24 hours? (which by the way I did not spend at work although I did get paid for working)
alphabetical list of yesterday's accomplishments:
Average Joe 2: Seen.
Book: Read.
Breakfast: Eaten.
Cat: Outsmarted.
Latin: Avoided.
Lats: Blasted.
Laundry: Done. (1/3)
Law & Order about closeted lesbian who kills to stay closeted: Watched.
Mystery Package: Sent.
Pants: Taken to be hemmed.
P.F. Chang's: Frequented.
Plane ticket: Bought.
Time clock: Punched (8:00 AM)
okay, so it's not a perfect list. and it certainly doesn't justify my feeling of reckless abandon / boundless confidence. but look at it again. you know what that list says to me? it says momentum. it says that a body in motion tends to stay in motion and you're standing on the tracks and a train's coming through. i'm not sure what i'm trying to say, except that i'm feeling hungry and jingoistic. i think i'll go to lunch. let's roll!
questions left unanswered to date:
am i the only one who didn't realize that eating breakfast actually makes you hungrier?
