Bringing Up Baby (1938)

It's a comedy? This movie has led me to believe two things: (thing the first) that men and women expected different things of each other in 1938 than they do in 2007 and (thing the second) humor was actually not invented until the 1950s, when it was accidentally created as a byproduct of chemical testing done by the postwar military-industrial complex. Do not be fooled. This movie is not funny, except 5 minutes at the end of the jail scene, 3/4 of the way through the movie.
